The Department of Students’ Welfare (DSW) and Career Counselling Centre (CCC) of East West University (EWU), organised a session titled “Beyond the Academic Landscape”, on 27th August 2025, at the S. M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery (room 126).

The session was conducted by Mr Rezaur Rahman Nafiz, the Vice President and Head of Organizational Development & HR Strategy at bKash Limited and a proud graduate of EWU. Ms Ismat Shereen, the Adviser of the Department of Students’ Welfare, welcomed the participants and speaker and handed over the floor for the session.

The objective of the workshop was to prepare final-year students with the right mindset, skills, and strategies to succeed beyond their academic journey. Through his insightful presentation, Mr. Nafiz enriched students’ knowledge about the qualities and practices that define thriving professionals. The discussion effectively helped students connect their academic learning with real-world expectations. Its ultimate aim was to boost students’ confidence and provide clarity as they embark on their professional lives.

A total of 91 students from various academic departments attended the program. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, leaving students inspired and better equipped to face professional challenges. This initiative reflects EWU’s continuous commitment to preparing its graduates for success beyond the academic landscape.
